Underbelly Festival

Underbelly Festival was an event where young artists pooled their talents over a two-week hothouse workshop. This culminated in a festival where shows were then programmed over a rolling schedule through eight performance spaces over the weekend. Buying one ticket at the entrance to the Carriageworks provided you with access to all performances, and the idea is that you bounce along as you please from one theatre to the next. I managed to see five different performances over the Saturday evening and flitted through ten festival installations that aimed to put the freak in the festival.
